Conversation Guides

Learn to Effectively Communicate with Your Children

We all experience challenging situations that are difficult to navigate. Sometimes these things have a negative impact on children and it can be hard to know what the right course of action is. The following section contains age-appropriate Conversation Guides that provide direction for you to have difficult conversations with your children over various challenges like a crisis situation or anxiety.

Side note (March, 2020): As we navigate COVID-19 and its many uncertainties, you may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious. Your children and/or teens are likely feeling similarly for many reasons such as their regular schedules of going to school or participating in extra-curricular programs being disrupted. It is important to help them work through those feelings and to support them in this time. To help you do that, we encourage you to pray with them and use these Conversation Guides to help start a discussion.
